Short answer

1ofWiisdom’s Wii report advised going straight from Quicksilver Vault into Arkeyan Armory without stopping. The author later said replaying Chapter 20 had not repaired the affected campaign; this was community advice, not an official universal fix.

Scope: Historical Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure Wii account. Other console reports and a final official fix version were not independently verified.

The failure blocked the next level

The December 28, 2011 account describes the Weapon Master remaining inactive when the player needed access to the later campaign. The relevant cost was replaying campaign progress, not simply missing a line of dialogue. The author’s avoidance advice was to reserve time for both Chapter 20 and Chapter 21 in one session.

The sequence behind that advice

Keep the original author’s observation separate from later explanations of the game’s internal flags.

  1. Finish Chapter 20, Quicksilver Vault.
  2. Continue directly into Chapter 21, Arkeyan Armory, rather than stopping to upgrade or explore.
  3. Keep an earlier campaign save where available instead of replacing it with the affected state.

A commenter’s theory about declining the prompt changing an internal flag was not an official code finding. It should not be presented as a proven mechanism for every file.

An early explanation was corrected

The author initially discussed throwing a bomb into a hole, then explicitly told later readers not to worry about that explanation. Repeating the original guess without the correction would send players toward the wrong action. In a later reply, the author said replaying Chapter 20 five or six times had not restored the affected campaign.

What can be said about recovery

The author reported continuing with a new campaign and retaining progress carried by the figures. That is a reported outcome, not a guarantee for every console or file. No final official fix version was verified here. Preserve the old campaign before choosing to restart; the fact that one workaround failed is not proof that the game data or physical figures are permanently destroyed.
