Hypogea Chapter 4 Robot Wall Lock: Keep the Save Before Replaying
Developer Charnul asked for an affected save before the chapter was replayed. Players reported getting past the Chapter 4 sequence by replaying, but that overwrote the diagnostic state in one exchange. Preserve it first if the failure needs investigation.
Short answer
Developer Charnul asked for an affected save before the chapter was replayed. Players reported getting past the Chapter 4 sequence by replaying, but that overwrote the diagnostic state in one exchange. Preserve it first if the failure needs investigation.
Scope: PC and Steam Deck reports, January–July 2026. No final universal fix version was verified.

Part of the scene failed to happen
Hyper described leaving the butterfly area through a pipe, falling to an earlier area and finding the large robot standing without breaking the wall. Replaying revealed that part of the cutscene had not played initially.
This is more specific than a generic stuck robot: it followed the Chapter 4 pipe and wall-breaking sequence.
Keep the evidence before changing the file
In March, Charnul asked another player for the affected save. The developer described opening the save folder through options and explicitly warned not to clear the save.
- Keep a separate copy before replaying.
- Record the chapter, platform and actions around the pipe scene.
- Use the folder-opening instructions without confirming a clear-save action.
- Then decide whether to replay from another retained state.
The replies show why the order matters
The Steam Deck player had replayed Chapter 4 and finished before the request. Charnul said replaying had overwritten the useful state.
In July, Franco said a replay restored progress after an unexpected return to an earlier room. Another player described quitting after the pipe save and later falling through the world. Those outcomes should not be collapsed into one proven cause.
A previous patch belief did not settle later reports
In January, Charnul said the issue should have been patched and would be checked again. That is a developer response, not proof of a final successful repair across later builds.
Replaying costs the repeated section and may remove diagnostic evidence. The exchange does not establish a final patch number or guarantee identical recovery on every platform.
