Cult of the Lamb’s No-Wood Ritual Block: Why Players Tried Waiting

Short answer

In the 2022 tutorial thread, a player who spent the camp’s wood later reported getting past the block by advancing days. Check regrowth before discarding the save; that report does not guarantee a recovery time for every ritual problem.

Scope: Historical 2022 Steam tutorial reports. No universal fix version or regrowth deadline was verified.

The gate was a material shortage

Superzee’s original report said there was no wood left in camp and dungeon access was blocked until a ritual was performed. Another player described using wood for beds and other buildings.

This differs from an animation freeze: the complaint concerned resources and the tutorial’s exit requirement. Advice for missing materials should not be advertised as a fix for a game that no longer responds.

How the shortage developed

The reports connect construction, a required ritual and a restricted route out of camp.

  1. Use the available camp wood on construction.
  2. Reach the tutorial requirement to perform a ritual.
  3. Find the ritual still needs resources.
  4. Find dungeon access restricted until the requirement is met.

What changed in the follow-up

In October, SparkStorm said they passed days and eventually got beyond the problem. Another contributor described testing resource shortages and waiting for trees, while acknowledging losses among followers.

Those are community observations. They do not establish a fixed six-day or nine-day recovery window, or guarantee that every difficulty and save state behaves identically.

Preserve the distinction before restarting

If the camp simulation still runs, inspect regrowth and follower needs rather than immediately deleting the file. Keep a backup where your platform allows it.

The thread also contains an offer to collect broken saves, disputed by other users. An unverified offer is not developer authorization. The record does not name a final patch resolving every early ritual or resource block.
