Short answer

A failed Cover My Glass timer is not enough to establish a permanently broken save. The June 2022 thread contains a reported stall, a selected answer about Mi-an taking over, and disputed explanations about the demo.

Scope: June 2022 PC Early Access discussion. The thread does not establish the behavior of every later release.

Why the timer alarm spread

Biggles reported failing the train-window repair after glass production ran too late. The player said two attempts had stalled and advancing the calendar had not produced new missions. That is a specific experience report, rather than proof that every failed mission destroys progression.

The practical cost was restarting progress that might still have needed diagnosis. Preserve the original slot before another attempt; a failed objective and a damaged save are different claims.

The sequence in the original account

The timing belongs to that historical account; it should not be presented as a measured limit for the current game.

  1. Accept the window-repair mission and begin preparing glass.
  2. Reach sleep or the deadline before handing it in.
  3. Continue after failure and inspect the mission log.
  4. Record which follow-up events appear, keeping an earlier slot if available.

What the selected answer said

Sarcosmic’s selected response said Mi-an was supposed to continue the work after the deadline and suggested allowing more days. It linked another discussion where Yang had answered. That answer was selected in the thread; the visible record does not establish Sarcosmic as a developer.

Other replies disputed whether the mission was a side quest, a main quest or a stopping point in the demo. Biggles disputed that waiting had solved their file. Those contradictions are part of the record.

What to take from it now

Identify the edition and build before applying an Early Access workaround to a later release. Keep the failed slot and describe the last completed story event when seeking support.

The checked discussion does not identify a final universal repair version. It does not support promising that sleeping a fixed number of days restores every stalled file.
