Is a Sea Cucumber Pond Worth It for Lucky Lunch?

Use a Sea Cucumber pond as an ingredient supply, harvest with a rod, and keep enough stock to reproduce. Roe is not the cooking ingredient.

The direct answer

Yes, if Sea Cucumbers are the ingredient you regularly lack. A stocked pond reproduces fish for Lucky Lunch; you harvest the actual Sea Cucumbers with a fishing rod. Collecting roe does not supply the recipe's fish ingredient.

Build around the meal, not a profit ranking

Lucky Lunch requires one Sea Cucumber, one Tortilla and one Blue Jazz, and provides +3 Luck. A pond solves only the Sea Cucumber part of that supply chain. Check the other ingredients and your recipe access before committing space. [2]

Sea Cucumbers normally reproduce every two days in a pond, subject to capacity and requests. This makes a pond useful beyond their ordinary fall-and-winter ocean availability. It is not an instant stack of meals. [1]

Harvest without resetting your work

  1. Stock the pond and allow its population to grow.
  2. Use a fishing rod to remove surplus fish for cooking.
  3. Leave at least one fish inside so reproduction can continue; handle capacity requests when more room is needed.

The pond menu's Empty Pond command resets the structure, including capacity progress. It is not the routine harvest button. Rod fishing reduces the population while retaining the pond's established species and upgrades. [3]

When we would choose this pond

Our recommendation is to judge it by meals you actually prepare. Regular Lucky Lunch use makes a dedicated ingredient supply convenient. If you rarely cook it, stored catches may meet your needs without another building. Roe income and cooking convenience are separate goals; we have not tested an optimal profit layout.
